Sudakshina Bhattacharya - Head, Human Resources
Sudakshina Bhattacharya has been practicing HR professional for over 15 years with experience in varied sectors like Telecom, Hospitality, Technology, Entertainment and Financial Services She studies post Graduation in Human Resource Management from IISW&BM before doing an Management development Program from XLRI, Jamshedpur. Sudakshina began her professional career with Hutchison Telecom, Kolkata (Currently Vodafone Essar Pvt Ltd) in October 1996. She moved to The Indian Hotels Company Pvt Ltd in Feb 2002, where she worked as Asst Manager-HR with Taj Bengal, Kolkata and Manager-HR at Taj Lake Palace, Udaipur. She contributed towards reduction of Employee Attrition by 20% in six months by increasing employee satisfaction. She spearheaded the Wage Settlement negotiation for the year 2004 and campaigned the pilot roll out of goal sheet for staff. She was also instrumental in Launching ‘Greener Pastures’ - an Internal Job Rotation Program benefiting over 200 employees.In March 2005, Sudakshina joined Nokia India as Regional HR Manager-East, where she looked after the HR functions for Network & CMO Business Verticals in East & subsequently in Gurgaon for Pan India. Before Joining IFIN as Head-HR in 2010, she has worked with ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Co as AVP-Corporate HR (2007-09) and Religare Enterprises as VP-HR & Regional Head-East and West (2009-10), where she made significant contributions in the field of HR across different segments and regions.
During her professional sojourn, Sudakshina has received a number of awards, the most notable being The prestigious Best HR professional from Asia Pacific HRD Congress (2011), Best HR Manager across 66 properties at Indian Hotels (2004), TABE award for HR Practices at Taj Bengal, Employee of the Millennium at Hutch and Certificate of Appreciation for Community Initiatives in Taj Bengal.
